Point of Rental appoints first ever CFO

Point of Rental has appointed Matthew Ross as its first ever chief financial officer. 

Rental software specialist Point of Rental has appointed Matthew Ross as its first ever chief financial officer. 

Ross joined the company in 2021 as its senior vice president of global finance. Prior to that he was the vice president finance accounting for software development firm Aspira, where he spent four years.

Since joining Point of Rental he has overseen the company’s acquisition of Record360 and continued expansion within the UK, Australia and South Africa. As CFO, Point of Rental said he will continue to guide the company’s financial landscape.

According to Point of Rental, the appointment reflects his role in building its financial strategy and its growth in recent years. 

Ross said, “When I joined Point of Rental in 2021, we’d just acquired Rental Hosting and we had plans to grow quickly. We’ve been on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies every year since, and I’m proud of how we’ve handled the additional complexities that growth brings.

“I look forward to working with our team to keep growing Point of Rental’s worldwide impact.”

Point of Rental CEO Wayne Harris added, “We’ve experienced steady growth over the years, leading to bigger and more complex projects. Matthew’s approach to planning and budgeting has laid a strong foundation for our future growth, and we look forward to building on that foundation with him as our CFO.”

Meanwhile, the company has also appointed Brooke Ryan as its new VP of global support services and Kat Gillis as general manager of its software solution.

Ryan will spearhead several initiatives designed to improve users’ experience, while Gillis will be responsible for the continued growth of the product and organisation within Point of Rental.
