The UK-based company - which provides stage power, site electrics, distribution, project management and lighting for live events - says the new location in Cork will help it support customers in Ireland and provide temporary power “efficiently and cost-effectively” to the events and entertainment industries.

The move means the firm will have permanent team and stock of equipment in the country for the first time.

The company said the Irish expansion is the first stage in its European expansion, with further plans to follow in the coming months.

Power Logistics’ director, Pete Wills, said; “We have been operating successfully and delivering temporary power solutions to some of Ireland’s most prestigious events for more than 15 years now and, post-pandemic, we only see this expanding further.

“There is a real opportunity for growth and, whilst having equipment and personnel permanently based in Ireland, we can ensure we remain competitive. This also supports our ability to deliver sustainable solutions which remains a key focus for the business.”
