Organisers of UK-based trade show Hillhead have said that the 2024 edition saw the most visitors in its history.

The biennial show, which took place at the Hillhead quarry in the UK from 25th to 27th June, registered 26,626 visits over the three days, 8% higher than its 2022 edition.

According to organisers QMJ Group, unique visitors were up by 6.2% with 19,577 attendees, the second highest ever number of unique attendees.

Day two of the show (Wednesday 26 June) also saw Hillhead’s busiest day ever with almost 10,800 people on site on the day.

Meanwhile, more than 600 exhibitors attended the event, which featured an extended Showground Pavilion and three live demonstration areas: quarry face, rock processing and recycling.

Among the exhibits on display was the largest Stage V crawler excavators from HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, the 80-tonne HX800A L and the 100-tonne HX1000A L. Elsewhere, UK-based JCB unveiled a generator powered by a JCB hydrogen combustion engine at the show.

JCB said the G60RS H genset delivers the same power, performance, and efficiency as its diesel equivalent but without the carbon. On the Bobcat stand the company unveiled the new TL25.60 telehandler.

The TL25.60 is powered by a 75HP Bobcat Stage V engine, has a lift capacity of 2500kg and offers a maximum lift height of 5.9 m and maximum reach of 3.3m.
