Rental firm adds its first Hinowa spider

A UK-based rental company, specialising in plant and access equipment, has expanded its fleet with its first ever Hinowa spider boom lift.
NPH Group, a provider of excavators, dumpers, generators and lifting equipment that operates across the Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, and Bedfordshire counties, added the Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS model to rental fleet.
The Lightlift spider is equipped with 230kg capacity basket and has a maximum working height of 20.1m, with an outreach of 9.7m.
A bi-energy version of the model, NPH’s platform is fitted with a Kubota diesel engine and can also be powered by a 110V mains connection for indoor tasks.
Key features of the model include two-speed tracking and one button self-levelling for fast and safe platform set-up. It also offers a stowed width of just 790mm, which according to Hinowa enables the platform to be tracked through narrow doors and gates.
The Lighlift 20.10 was supplied by equipment dealer Access Platform Sales (APS), which also provided NPH with a bespoke compact 3.5-tonne trailer that enables the Hinowa Lightlift to be towed by a standard van or 4x4 vehicle.
Ashley Tarrant, Managing Director at NPH Group, said, “Bringing spider boom lifts into our fleet had been on our radar for some time. We did our research and found Hinowa was the platform our customers were keen to use.
“It ticks all our boxes in terms of performance, quality and ease of use, and I know APS will provide excellent technical and support service as we go forward.
“We’ve already got customers asking about the spider platform so we’re confident it will be very popular and will do good business for us. Given the marketplace, it’s a clear way forward for us.”
