ACT EXCLUSIVE: Scott-Macon acquired by Allegiance Crane
26 September 2024
Allegiance Crane & Equipment has completed the acquisition of Scott-Macon, parent company of Scott-Macon Equipment. Scott-Macon Equipment, a well-established dealer for Tadano, Broderson and Kobelco cranes, will now serve as the bare rental and equipment distribution arm of Allegiance.
“We are excited to add Scott-Macon Equipment to the Allegiance family as the bare rental and equipment distribution arm of Allegiance,” said Justin Romero, president and CEO, Allegiance. “Scott-Macon marks the third acquisition in as many years that Allegiance has completed in an effort to expand our operations and service offering to better serve our clients. Going forward, Scott-Macon Equipment will continue to operate under the Scott-Macon Equipment brand with the same quality fleet and exceptional service level customers have come to expect.”
Scott-Macon Equipment is a bare rental lifting equipment and distribution company serving the Gulf Coast through seven locations, and the company maintains extensive parts and service operations throughout its branch network.
“As our company recently passed 50 years of operations, we concluded that we needed to evaluate a number of strategic initiatives in order to take the company my father built to the next level,” said Alex Scott, president, Scott-Macon Group. “As part of this process, we were introduced to the management team at Allegiance and quickly realized they shared our core values of safety and service excellence combined with an employee-oriented culture. We believe the acquisition of Scott-Macon by Allegiance provides our employees with expanded opportunities while presenting our customers with a wider array of services to meet their lifting needs.”
Allegiance Crane & Equipment is a lifting equipment company serving the Gulf Coast and Southeastern regions of the United States. With 13 locations in Texas, Louisiana and Florida, the company was ranked 22nd in fleet size in the 2024 American Cranes and Transport (ACT) 100 Index based on tons of capacity.
