Japanese pump specialist Tsurumi has revealed it hosted a number of Ukranian delegates at its European headquarters in Düsseldorf, Germany in July.

According to Tsurumi, the delegation consisted of “technology experts and decision makers,” some from Ukranian universities and the Ukranian Ministry of Energy.

Tsurumi said the delegates were in attendance at its headquarters for advice on how to tackle flooding in the country following the destruction of the Kakhovka dam in the Dnipro river in June.

According to the company, it advised the delegates on how its submersible pumps would tackle the flooding, which has caused coal-fired power plants to close after several mines were flooded.

Elsewhere, the company advised the delegates on the technical options behind the removal of clear, dirty and waste water and gave them tutorials on how to carry out maintenance of its pump units.

The representatives were travelling to Germany for advise on how to repair damage that has been caused by the Russian conflict, and also visited energy sites to see mining and energy industry facilities.
