Vista Training acquires HeviCert

US-based Vista Training has completed the acquisition of HeviCert, a provider of heavy equipment operator training and certification worldwide. The acquisition enables the training company to expand its onsite training services to include international vocational and heavy equipment training.

Vista Training already specializes in training for operators of earthmoving, excavating, construction and mining equipment and applications. These are offered through a variety of computer-based training modules, videos, DVDs and instructor kits, on-site equipment operator training and PC-based equipment simulators.

The addition of HeviCert now enables Vista to train and administer National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) crane operator tests, National Centre for the Certification of Heavy Equipment Operators (NCCHEO) heavy equipment operator and truck driver exams, and NCCHEO certified heavy equipment mechanic exams through the HeviCert division of Vista.

HeviCert evaluates, tests and certifies equipment professionals to ANSI, ISO and EU standards. It has implemented vocational training in the US, Estonia, Kosovo, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine.

HeviCert recently worked with USAID to train heavy equipment operators in Kosovo and implemented a turnkey heavy equipment operator training programme at the Kosovo Electric Cooperative (KEK) training facility in Obliqe.

VISTA Training plans to offer vocational training worldwide under the new HeviTrain brand name, and certification services will be marketed under the HeviCert name.
