UK access rental specialist Warren Access has taken delivery of two Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 spider lifts to expand its tracked fleet.

The platforms are available for hire at the company’s Huntingdon and Newcastle depots.

As a regional company, Warren Access offers a wide range of platforms, including van and truck mounts, the Hinowa spider lifts, scissor lifts and booms.

The Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 Performance IIIS spider has a maximum working height of 20.1m and a maximum outreach of 9.7m. At just 785mm wide when stowed for tracking, they can be moved through narrow gates and doors and along paths to work sites.

Company Director Michelle Warren said, “Hinowa spider lifts are a crucial part of our access hire fleet. As I’ve mentioned before, if we were to carry only one type of cherry picker, it would be spider lifts. We like to think of them as the ‘Swiss Army knife’ of access equipment.

“They’re incredibly versatile and can be operated in the most challenging environments, such as where space is extremely limited or over difficult terrain. Our Hinowa platforms are very popular with customers.

APS supplied

The platforms were supplied by UK and Ireland distributor APS. Linda Betts, Key Accounts Director at APS, “I’m thrilled Hinowa platforms are doing so well for Graeme and Michelle, and the Warren Access team.”

on the subject of spiders, Michelle Warren added, “They are frequently hired by roofers, new-build snagging specialists, building surveyors, and arboriculture professionals, including tree surgeons and consultants.

“Many of our customers appreciate our ‘Operated Hire’ service, which allows them to focus on their work while benefiting from the expertise of a skilled operative, ensuring safe and efficient work at height. We also offer delivery to the site for self-drive hire.”

The Hinowa Lightlift 20.10 platforms selected by Warren Access have an unrestricted basket capacity of 230kg and are powered by low-noise, low-emissions diesel engines.

They can also be operated on 110v mains electricity for working indoors or in sensitive areas, where silent operation is needed, such as the sites of schools, hospitals and care homes.

The spider lifts have one button outrigger deployment, levelling and retraction, wireless remote control, and auto-speed control to take account of varying ground conditions.
