WillScot Mobile Mini buys in California

North American modular and portable accommodation specialist WillScot Mobile Mini Holdings has acquired Elite Modular Leasing and Sales, adding 900 modular units to its existing operations throughout California.

It is understood the transaction, for an undisclosed sum, was funded with cash on hand and borrowings under the company’s revolving credit agreement.

Elite Modular Leasing and Sales was founded in 2016 and is a portable building manufacturer in Perris, California. It specialises in buildings for schools and the wider education market. 

Brad Soultz, WillScot Mobile Mini CEO, said the acquisition of Elite Modular would expand the company’s presence in California and add “particular expertise serving the public education sector.”

Earlier in the year, WillScot Mobile Mini confirmed its plans for marked growth through acquisitions in 2022. 

The company invested $147 million seven acquisitions in the second half of 2021, including American Mobile Leasing, Équipe Container Services, Saf-T-Box, LP and LA based Portable Storage Accommodation.
