Mustang's new 4200V skid steer loader will be launched at ConExpo 2017, and claims to be the world's largest

US-based manufacturers Gehl and Mustang will launch what they claim to be the world’s largest skid steer loader and 1.45 tonne vertical lift track loader at ConExpo in Las Vegas, US.

The companies – which are part of the Manitou Group – will debut their machines at booth G4165. The Gehl V420 and Mustang 4200V skid steer loader boasts improved capacity and power compared to its previous model to a 1.9 tonne-rated operating capacity, which the companies said was the largest in the world.

The model also has as an 89kW output, and the high-flow hydraulic option on the model also offers more than 40 gallons per minute.

Eric Burkhammer, vice president of sales and marketing, North America, said, “We are pleased to re-stake our position in the larger skid loader market with the introduction of the new 420/4200. This new 19.9 tonne-rated operating capacity machine is powered by an 89kW Deutz engine and will provide more than enough power to support the larger tasks now performed by the skid loader in today's market.

“Whether working in highway building, demolition or handling large bales of hay on the farm, this new machine is a natural choice when considering a new skid loader in the larger size class.”

The companies will also debut the new vertical lift track loader – the Gehl VT320 and Mustang 3200VT – which provides a 1.45 tonne operating capacity and an 85kW output.

The company said that, when equipped with an EDGE 6-way grouser dozer blade, the machine excelled in final grading applications with its pushing power and tractive effort position.

Mr Burkhammer added, “We are very excited to introduce the expansion of our track loader line with the new VT320/3200VT. This new machine, along with the RT165/1650RT expands our range to five machines allowing us to offer solutions to users from contractors to owner operators.

“Ease of operation and key features such as pilot operated controls, high tractive effort, roomy cab and the exclusive IdealTraxTM make these new machines a prime choice when considering a new track loader.”
