Byrne Equipment Rental (BER) has ordered over 150 MEWPS as part of its expansion into the Middle East’s mobile access market.

The rental company placed the order with access equipment manufacturer Genie. A range of scissor lifts and telescopic and articulating boom lifts were included in the order, which came to a total of 166 units.

Over the past 27 years BER has established itself as one of the largest general rental companies in the Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC) region. It made the investment in response to the recent increase in demand for access equipment in the Middle East.

Speaking of the company’s expansion into the mobile access market, BER’s regional general manager, Steve Caygill, said “This is where we see access as yet another rental and lease solution that complements our established business model, and more importantly, it underscores our supply capability in the equipment rental field as a true ‘one-stop-shop’.”
