Vanguard to hold energy transition summit for rental

Power specialist Vanguard - the commercial brand of Briggs & Stratton - is holding a one-day conference on the energy transition and equipment rental at the Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands on 24 September 2024.
The Rental eSummit will focus on how standardisation can help meet the challenges posed by the energy transition and provide a forum for rental businesses and suppliers to debate.
Speakers will include representatives from rental company HSS Hire, the European Rental Association (ERA), landscaping equipment supplier SiteOne Landscape Supply, electrification specialist EqLab, battery repair/recycling company NOWOS, and IRN.
Vanguard said standardisation had emerged as a vital element in addressing the demands for electrification and zero emissions. The speaker line-up is:
- Klāvs Otisons, chair, Technical Committee of the ERA, and fleet director, Cramo
- Jon Overman, chief revenue officer, HSS Hire
- Nicolas Schomer, director of category management, SiteOne Landscape Supply

Paul Bramhall, director of Electrification/Rental EMEA at Briggs & Stratton, said; “It is incredibly important that the industry meets for events like these and discusses the subjects that are impacting them on a daily basis.
“The move to standardisation and the challenges of energy transition are subjects that will only become more prevalent over the coming years so it is important we get ahead.”
The summit is being held at Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam, which is home to famed football team Ajax.
