Bravi launches tyre handling lift
22 August 2019
Bravi Platforms in Italy has developed a lift for handling car tyres.
Part of its Sprint range, the new Sprint TL (Tyre lift) will lift an operator and up to four car tyres up to a working height of 5.35m (17.5ft), making is easier to store and pick tyres.
The Sprint TL will lift up to 100 kg – equivalent to four standard car tyres – using a special lifting bracket controlled from the operator’s basket. The unit has a maximum travel speed of 5km/hr and is narrow enough to fit aisles and doorways measuring 0.81m (32in) wide.
Bravi said the unit will “drastically reducing downtime inside the warehouse and allow for space maximization, essentially multiplying the number of tyres that can be stored in a warehouse.”
The new lift is the work of its general manager, Pierino Bravi, and his design team. “The normal maintenance of European car fleets includes the seasonal change of tyres”, said Mr Bravi, “and with these ever increasing in size and weight, it has become necessary to think of solutions to reduce operator fatigue, optimize warehouse space and allow for an overall better time management in order to serve the highest possible number of customers.”
Maximum working height is 5.35m.
Marina Torres, Sales Manager for Bravi Platforms, added; “With the EU passenger car fleet having grown by 5.7% over the last five years alone, going from 243 to 257 million, and statistical data showing there are on average 511 cars per 1000 inhabitants in the EU, the Sprint TL was specifically created to meet the needs expressed by many companies operating in the sector”.
