New CEO for Horizon Construction Development
02 January 2025
China-based equipment rental company Horizon Construction Development has announced that Zhan Jing is to assume the role of CEO, effective December 30.
Jing, who also assumes the role of executive director, has been with the company since 2004 and was most recently the vice president of Far East Horizon.
In his 20 year tenure with Far East, he has held a number of senior roles, including the deputy general manager of business development, general manager of Shanghai Grand Glory Eco Technology Co and general manager of Horizon Financial Company.
Jing holds a bachelor’s degree in international finance from Nanjing Audit University and obtained an MBA degree from Peking University.
The news comes as former CEO Pan Yang announced his intentions to stand down from the role after two years at the helm.
Yang, who himself replaced Zhang Chunyu in April 2022, said he was standing down due to “work arrangements” and would cease any involvement with the company.
Jing will serve a three year term as CEO, and will be eligible for an extension at the time of a re-election at the first annual general meeting the company will hold.
He joins at a time in which the company is seeking expansion into South East Asia with planned rental locations in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.
Speaking to IRN last year, Dailin Feng, general manager of Horizon’s sales business unit, said the aim was to create rental businesses using Horizon’s used fleet of aerial platforms, with one target market being major Chinese contractors working in the region.
