Storent strengthens board with internal appointment

Baltic rental company Storent Group has announced that Baiba Onkele has advanced from chairman of the supervisory board to member of the board.

Onkele has been with the company since 2008, during which time she has held the role of chief financial officer. Prior to that she was the head accountant for Ramiteh SIA, a role she held for six years.

Storent said that Onkele has helped the company to raise funds for development and enables it ti expand its operations to 28 rental points in five countries.

It added that she has found ways to “attract financing for growth and expansion, ensuring that the funds were safeguarded and utilised effectively.”

Andris Pavlovs, co-founder and chairman of the board of Storent, said, “Baiba’s understanding of the business and strong control over finances have proven to be a great advantage for the entire group.

“I’m proud to appoint such a capable expert as a member of the board, thus expanding her responsibilities beyond finances. Baiba will ensure that the company implements its strategies in the most efficient way possible.”

The news comes some weeks after the company announced that Klāvs Otisons was joining the executive board after nearly 16 years with Cramo Group and Boels.

Pavlovs said his expertise will help Storent continue to increase its market share, profitability and efficiency.
