Multitel enters pick-up market

Multitel Pagliero has brought its first pick-up mounted platform to Bauma.
Marking the first time the manufacturer has entered the pick-up market, the MXE 160, mounted on a Ford Ranger with a GVW of 3.5 tonnes. Its four-wheel drive makes it possible to access unstable, uneven, muddy, or sloped terrains. It can even ford water to a depth of 800 mm.

Easy to use, the MXE 180 is suitable for construction work, maintenance, plant engineering, installation, renovation, cleaning, roofing, and tree pruning.
The maximum working height is 15.7m, while the maximum horizontal outreach of 5.70m offers a basket capacity of 250kg. Up to 80kg capacity is possible with an outreach of 8.90m. A load moment limiter on the boom ensures safe operation by restricting the outreach in proportion to the load.
The main pantograph boom and the second aluminium boom, with two extensions, provides rigidity and precise movements. The turret rotation of 380° and the self-leveling basket – also available in fiberglass – has a 50°+50° rotation, ensuring precise positioning.
When used on-road, the MXE 160’s length of 5,975mm and width of 1,910mm allows access to narrow city streets, while straight-line stabilizers extending to a compact 1,890mm makes positioning in tight spaces possible.
Powered by a 125 Kw Euro 6d engine, the pickup is equipped with start & stop, a low pressure EGR system and an SCR system which minimises fuel consumption and NOx and CO2 emissions.
