Haulotte enters low level access market
26 April 2022
Haulotte is launching into low level access with a line of seven vertical mast and scissor lift products
Included in the new line from Haulotte is the Move Up vertical mast series, composed of two push-around models with electric lifting and a maximum working height of 4.6m and 5.6m.
The Swift Up scissor series offers push around units with working heights of 3.8m or 4.5m, while the the Swift Up SP self propelled scissor models have electric drive and lifting. And offer a maximum working height of 4.5m, 5m or 5.9m.
Safer alternative
Remi Heidelberger, marketing manager at Haulotte, said, “As a promoter of safe and valuable working at height solutions, we have been following the evolution of this segment of the aerial industry for several years.
“Today, we are pleased to present a complete range of low level access lifts, perfectly adapted to our customers’ needs.”
The seven models can be used indoors for maintenance applications, renovation, warehousing or fit-out and finishing work.
Designed to offer an alternative to ladders and mobile towers, the line requires no assembly or disassembly, compared to traditional forms of access equipment and enables users to quickly reach the work area. The self propelled models can be driven while raised.
According to Haulotte they are also easily transportable and can be loaded directly into a van or pick-up truck using their dedicated forklift pockets.
Their compact size, of a maximum 75m width, means the lifts are easy to navigate through confined spaces, such as narrow store aisles, data centres, open plan offices, or warehouses, without damaging the area. They have a narrow turning area and fit into elevators and pass a standard single doorway.
Designed to work on sensitive flooring with low loadings, such as hotels, gymnasiums and theatres, the units are lightweight and equipped with non-marking wheels, and are ideal for work on carpet, wood flooring, marble and tiles.
The platforms have basket capacities ranging from 159kg to 240kg, for one person and tools, depending on the model, and their optimised stability allows a 360˚ range of motion.
Ergonomic solution
“By providing an ergonomic working position, low level access platforms help lower the risk for musculoskeletal disorders at the work site,” said the company. “The equipment avoids wasteful and exhausting motion; it reduces worker fatigue associated with repetitive climbing up and down. It also ensures that the operator is always working at the right height.”
The models’ platforms are designed to be stable, anti-slip and fully guarded, while the wheel lock system prevents unintentional movement while the worker is on the platform, and the tilt sensor alarm provides safe lifting. They are also equipped with intuitive controls for operator ease of use.
“Our range of low level access solutions guarantees user-friendly operation, whatever the job to be done. The AGM batteries and easily accessible components ensure minimal maintenance and operating costs,” said Eloïse Guillet, marketing product manager at Haulotte.
Haulotte’s new low level range is now available in Europe, except Russia and UK; APAC, except Korea, and South American countries - South America only offers the Swift Up SP self propelled scissors.
