Sunstate acquires Texas rental company

US-based equipment rental company Sunstate Equipment has acquired AJ Rental Dallas. No financial details of the deal have been disclosed.

The acquisition expands Sunstate’s presence in Texas and strengthens its rental services in the region.

AJ Rental Dallas, which serves the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex, will now operate as part of Sunstate’s network.

Sunstate said the deal means customers of AJ Rental Dallaswill gain access to an expanded fleet of rental equipment and Sunstate’s multi-state branch network.

The company, which is owned by Sumitomo Corp, added that it brings technology improvements that will “enhance the customer experience.”

Norty Turner, the former HERC, United Rentals and Riwal executive who has just joined Sunstate as president and CEO, said, “We are thrilled to welcome AJ Rental Dallas into the Sunstate family.
