HSS partners with payment specialist to simplify transactions

HSS ProService has partnered with cloud-based payment specialist Adflex to enhance its payment processes.

The HSS ProService Marketplace connects buyers with over 550 sellers, offering more than 50,000 products, including small tools, powered access equipment, and building materials.

To improve payment efficiency of the platform, HSS said it aimed to reduce manual approvals, invoice queries, and other complexities faced in the industry.

To achieve this, HSS ProService, the online marketplace operated by UK-based rental company HSS Hire, integrated Adflex’s REST API, which it said enables commercial card transactions, provides enhanced reporting, and delivers Level 3 data, supporting purchase control and reconciliation while offering buyers detailed transaction insights.

By incorporating commercial card transactions through the Adflex API, HSS ProService said it can improve the customer experience, streamline payments, and enhance visibility and control over transactions.

The Adflex API allows customers to tokenise and store commercial card details for repeat transactions while gaining real-time visibility into spending across users, sites, and projects.

Customers can also view and dispute upcoming charges directly through the platform, reducing the need for manual invoice queries. The system automates reconciliation, helping to minimise administrative workload and human errors.

Additionally, the ‘Authorise now, settle later’ functionality offers more flexible payment processing, ProService said, enabling payments to be completed at optimal times to help reduce delays and support cash flow management for businesses.

Since implementing the integration, HSS ProService reports onboarding over 2,000 customers and more than 3,000 individual users, facilitating secure and efficient transactions with both physical and virtual commercial cards.

HSS ProService Chief Product Officer John Osborne stated, “We want to offer customers options and make transactions more straightforward. That’s why we’ve made significant investments in our online offering, HSS ProService Marketplace, allowing customers to hire and purchase equipment, building materials, fuels, and more with ease.”

Osborne added that the Marketplace provides a “smarter way to hire and buy everything from small tools to large powered access equipment, building materials, and site consumables.”

“With over 550 sellers and 50,000 products available on a single platform, the marketplace helps businesses reduce administrative tasks, paperwork, and invoice-related complexities while offering a unified source for ESG and commercial insights,” he added.
