CDP Access invests in first Haulotte electric booms

Romania-based CDP Access has taken delivery of its first ever SIGMA 16 electric booms from Haulotte Poland.
The company, which is headquartered north west of Bucharest in Mioveni, provides equipment rental, sales and spare parts services across the country’s western region.
It added the 100% electric, 16m working height Sigma boom, which was launched by Haulotte in February this year, to its fleet to meet an increase in demand for MEWPs in the country, which is being driven by a rise in construction activity.
Claudiu Ispas, commercial manager at CDP Access, said, “We are very happy to introduce the first SIGMA16 in our rental fleet. We will soon place new orders as construction projects are growing.”
The SIGMA 16 model is fitted with a 48V battery pack and AC motors and offers users both zero tail-swing and a tight turning radius.
With a working height of 16.1m and an outreach of 8.3m, the aerial platform is equipped with a 1.2m wide two-person basket.
According to Zbigniew Turzynski, Haulotte Poland’s general manager, the articulating booms are suitable for use “both indoors and outdoors, on any type of stabilized surface”.
Turzynski said, “I’m very happy CDP Access has included this new machine in its fleet, and I’m convinced its customers will be seduced by its productivity and agility.”
It also includes Haulotte’s Activ’Energy Management smart battery system and its Activ’Screen diagnostic system, which operators can access via a colour display screen.
The new machines join a fleet that comprises over 300 aerial platforms, spread over three locations in Romania and one in Moldova.
