04 January 2024
Saudi Arabia has announced its latest plans for NEOM in the form of Norlana, an ‘ultra-modern active lifestyle community’ as the latest addition to what is one of the world’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.
Situated on the Gulf of Aqaba’s coastline, Norlana will house 3,000 residents who, according to a press release, will enjoy “contemporary luxury fused with advanced technology, setting a pioneering standard for sustainable modern living.”
The project entails construction of 711 residential properties, a 120-berth marina, 18-hole golf course, and an equestrian and polo center.
It is claimed that Norlana will be delivered innovatively and sustainably with a focus on preserving the surrounding land and marine environments.
The budget for NEOM is reportedly US$500 billion and around 20% of the project is believed to have been completed.
