HG to “accelerate the drive towards 100% electric machinery” at Bauma
26 March 2025

Danish manufacturer of dumpers HG has said it will use its Bauma debut to accelerate the drive towards 100% electric machinery.
The company, which has been an electric only manufacturer for several years having launched a one tonne electric model back in 2018, will show two of its latest launches, including its HG E1000 HT mini dumper.
The E1000 HT offers up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge, with a charging time of 90 minutes (from 20% to 80%).
According to the company, these features make it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
The operating costs of the E1000 HT are also said to be significantly lower than traditional diesel-powered dumpers at an estimated €1 per day, compared to the €30 per day cost of diesel-powered tracked dumpers.
Additionally, it benefits from reduced service costs, further lowering long-term expenses for contractors.
In terms of productivity, the E1000 HT can carry up to 1 tonne per load, equivalent to the capacity of 10 wheelbarrows.
Joining the unit at Bauma is the HG E2000, a fully electric 2 tonne dumper. Built in-house at HG’s facilities in Denmark, the E2000 can deliver up to 12 hours of runtime on a single charge, allowing operators to complete full workdays without interruption.
It can charge from 20% to 80% in 2.5 hours. The dumper can be charged using both a 400V or 220V EU plug, or a Type 2 car charger.
The E2000 is also equipped with high swivel tip functionality, which is said to enhance its versatility and allow for precision unloading. As is the case for the E1000 HT, the E2000 reduces both noise and emissions.
Nikolaj Birkerod, CEO, HG, said, “At HG, we believe the future of construction is electric—not just for the planet, but for the people working in the industry every day.
“The E1000 HT delivers the best of both worlds: a healthier work environment with zero emissions and less noise, alongside significant long-term cost savings. It’s a win-win for both contractors and the workforce.”
Birkerod said the E2000 is a “true breakthrough in electric construction equipment” and is “an energy-efficient machine that delivers exceptional performance, lower operating costs, and long-term savings.”
