ANAPAT announces new president
30 September 2024
The aerial platform association for Spain ANAPAT has appointed a new board, including president and vice president.
Raúl Gomariz, from Gomariz Lifting Systems takes over as President from David Cagigas, while Óscar Castellanos, from SOOS Machinery, replaces Pedro Benito as Vice President.
The appointments were made during the association’s Electoral Assembly in Madrid. During the Assembly, attended by more than 50 members, Cagigas and Benito, who have both been in the roles for 10 years, thanked association members for their support and noted the positive developments at ANAPAT over the decade. They also welcomed in the new board and wished it luck in supporting association members and the industry in the future.
In his first speech as incoming President, Gomariz said he would focus on three areas, including strengthening the relationship between association members through actively listening to their needs and addressing the differences in the types of companies in the organisation.
Gomariz said he also aimed to help grow the aerial platform sector in Spain through creating new alliances and opportunities, as well as promoting the benefits of ANAPAT to encourage greater use of its services.
The process to appoint the new board began at the Ordinary General Assembly in June in Barcelona, when the then President announced that the Board of Directors had called for elections for a new board, following several mandates of the previous one.
The other members of the new ANAPAT board, which represent the sector across the country, are: Jordi Varela, from Merca-Eleva, Ramón Santamaría from Liftisa, Rosa María Naranjo, from GAM Machinery Services, Salvador Artés, from Lozano Platforms, Nicanor Piñole, from Gomez Oviedo, Víctor Cebrecos, from Uping Access and Carlos Jordá from Mateco.
