Switzerland-based rental company Maltech AG has ordered 50 truck mounts from Italian manufacturer Multitel.

Maltech, which provides equipment rentals and training services from over 30 branches across Switzerland, chose the MTE 270 EX telescopic platform model.

Mounted on a 3.5 tonne truck, the make of which was not disclosed, Maltech’s platforms have a 27m platform height and an outreach of 17m.

The MTE 270 EX also offers maximum lift capacities of 80kg at its maximum height, rising to 230kg at 12.8m outreach.

Described as easy to use, light, fast and manoeuvrable, the model features the manufacturer’s MUSA system, which calculates and limits the outreach, and a telemetry system for remote communication.

Prior to the delivery of the first of its new truck mounts, a team from Maltech visited Multitel’s factory in Manta, Italy. The Maltech team was hosted by Olivier Wolf, managing director of Multitel’s official equipment dealer for Zurich, Switzerland, Skyworker Trade AG.

“During the factory visit, Maltech’s technicians checked the required customisations, diagrams and tested the first four MTE 270 EXs produced,” said Multitel.

Maltech’s 50 new truck mounts will be delivered to the company between now and 2025.
