Star broadens IPAF training

Powered access rental and sales specialist Star Platforms has opened a new dedicated IPAF training centre for London and the south of England.
The facility is located just over a mile from the company’s depot in the town of Luton and is idealy postioned to serve the area. The centre provides a high quality training room and a large new slab concrete area for practical assessment and examination.
Star Platforms also delivers IPAF training at each of its six other depots. Courses provided are IPAF 1b - static boom lift, 3a - mobile vertical and IPAF 3b - mobile boom. The company also delivers the IPAF MEWPs for Managers course plus Harness Use and Inspection training.
Star Platforms managing director Richard Miller said, “The new Luton IPAF Training Centre is our first stand-alone training space. As such, we see it as a positive step forward for Star Platforms and our customers.”
“It provides an ideal facility for operatives needing to renew their IPAF licences in a purpose-built environment without the distractions of a busy operating depot.”
It also has the latest facilities for the elearning practical element of the course and delivery of instructor-led class-based courses, plus a kitchen and a relaxation area.
