Ommelift launches 15m trailer mount

1500 EX Trailer Mouted Lift - OMMELIFT Ommelift’s new 1500 EX articulated trailer lift joins the company’s 1700 EX, 1830 EX and 2300 EX models.

Ommelift has expanded its line of articulating trailer mount platforms with the addition of the new 1500 EX model.

With a working height of 15m and an outreach of 8.5m, the model is the smallest of the company’s EX product series and has been designed to operate in narrow and awkward spaces.

Described by the manufacturer as “compact and practical”, the 2-tonne platform incorporates a scissor type design with hydraulically stabilisers.

Denmark-based Ommelift, which has been in operation for over 100 years, said, “The unfolding scissor system gives the lift an increased up and over outreach over high obstacles. 1500 EX platforms are mounted with hydraulic propulsion and hydraulic stabilizers.”

It added, “Hydraulic propulsion is a great way to operate the lift, as it provides easy and precise operation, as well as fast movement from task to task.”

Available to customers around the world, the first of the new models have already been shipped from the company’s factory in Denmark.

The 1500 EX is equipped with a 230kg capacity basket that provides 50 degrees of rotation, and has dimensions of 6.04m in length and 1.99m in height for transportation.

With two speeds settings, the standard model is powered by an electric motor for use with a 230 V mains supply. Ommelift said makes it “especially suitable where continuous operation is required”.

Alongside the 1500 EX trailer mount, the manufacturer is also offering a 1500 EXB version, which is fitted with a heavy-duty battery pack for independent operation.

Ommelift’s new model is available with Radio Control as an optional extra, which allows users to “move around the lift to spot potential obstacles”.
