Andrews Sykes opens specialist rental depot

UK-based rental company Andrews Sykes Group has opened a new specialist hire rental depot in Suffolk, England.

The company said the facility, which is based in Redhouse Farm, Sternfield, will provide heating, cooling, and dewatering system solutions to infrastructure and construction projects.

It said it will create dozens of jobs across fields such as engineering and logistics.

To celebrate the opening, the company hosted an open day last month for stakeholders and partners for a tour of the facility and live demonstrations.

David Mahon, UK managing director of Andrews Sykes Hire, said: “The new depot underlines our commitment to support the development and operational needs of infrastructure projects across Suffolk and beyond. It also marks a significant milestone in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and invest in greener solutions.

“The facility is strategically placed to provide projects large and small with a wide range of equipment and services to meet their heating, cooling and pumping needs.

“We are grateful for the support we have received from key stakeholders and look forward to working together to drive innovation, sustainability and growth.”

The latest depot opening brings its total number of locations in the UK to more than 20. 

The company also has depots across Europe and the Middle East. Late last year it unveiled plans for a new depot in the UAE, adding to existing sites in the Middle East in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Yemen.

Its division in the region, known as Khansaheb Sykes, specialises in pump hire and dewatering services and has been in operation for more than 40 years.
