MEC launches its tallest lift
26 March 2025
MEC is launching its tallest lift yet, with the 35m working height 135-RJ diesel telescopic boom, designed for maximum agility.
Featuring a multi-directional, high-capacity jib with 135° vertical and 120° horizontal rotation, the lift can navigate around and behind remote obstacles, ensuring precise positioning in confined or complex spaces.

Shipments of the lift will begin in April 2025.
A standout feature of the 135-RJ is the Set-In-Place Axle Extension. MEC’s patented technology enables axle deployment without requiring machine movement or jacks, allowing set-up to occur in a smaller space, while minimizing tire wear or damage to the ground surface.
Whether axles are extended or retracted, the 135-RJ maintains full drive capability with its four steering modes and 45% gradeability.
The high-capacity boom lift comes in at a gross vehicle weight of 44,775lbs (20,304kg) and 39ft (11.9m) stowed length which enables transport without permits.
Rigidity & comfort

Another feature is the crane-style multi-keel boom design that maximizes rigidity and provide a comfortable work platform that reaches 141ft (43m) working height and 80ft (24.4m) outreach. There is also an 8ft (2.4m) multi-directional jib.
The unit has a maximum capacity of 900lbs (408kg) up to full height or to 70ft (21.33m) outreach and to 60° jib rotation. Even at its maximum 80ft (24.4m) outreach, the boom lift is still able to offer an industry-best for rotating jib machines with an unrestricted capacity of 600lbs (272kg) and 120° jib rotation, says the company, which also provides an optimal Dual Capacity solution.

Crab steer, 4-wheel steer, 2-wheel front, and 2-wheel rear steering come as standard, as are multi-function controllers, minimizing the time to full extension. The intuitive platform design eliminates the need for a footswitch.
The model’s rough terrain performance is achieved with a Deutz 74hp diesel engine and the 4-wheel-drive traction system’s hydraulic differential lock, directing power to all four wheels to handle uneven terrain.
Standard foam-filled rough terrain tires further reinforce traction, stability, and durability in demanding conditions.
